Berth Description
MENTON OLD PORT is a public port, practicing the lowest rates of the department and managed by the Menton Municipality in connection with the Department of Alpes Maritimes. It has 596 berths (100 reserved for passage). It is also called “Municipal Port of Menton” or “Departmental Port of Menton”.
The MENTON OLD PORT is located at the foot of the old town and its always very animated pedestrian area. It is dominated by the Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel and by the Bastion Museum which marks its entrance.
It is a former small Mediterranean fishing port which has been enlarged and modernized to become a marina capable of meeting the expectations of boaters: perfectly equipped, at the gate of Italy, in front of the mountains of the inner-land, its location is picturesque and unique.
MENTON OLD PORT is surrounded by many shops and restaurants along the quay proposing to the menu fish freshly brought back by Menton’s fishermen. Nearby, the large beach of the Sablettes awaits tourists and boaters to refresh themselves in the big blue.
