Berth Description

Often considered as one of the ports of Monaco, the PORT OF CAP D’AIL is located in the western part of the rock of Monaco, the Franco-Monegasque border delimiting the East facade of the Port. However it is indeed in France, although its access passes through the streets of Monaco.

The PORT OF CAP D’AIL is a peaceful haven for the residents of Monaco and nearby French communes. It is part of the “Ports d’Azur” network. This network reunites the ports under the supervision of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis.

PORT OF CAP D’AIL is a so-called “private” because most of the berths are on leaseholds. It is one of the deepest marinas on the French Riviera and has a total of 260 berths (docks and floating pontoons). There are 200 berths in the “private” area and 60 berths in the public area for ships from 6 to 65 m in length in its “Bassin d’Honneur”.

THE PORT OF CAP D’AIL is managed by the Societe du Port Plaisance de Cap d’Ail (SPPC), with a concession whose term is in December 2027. Despite a great disparity between the sizes of Boats and yachts, Cap d’Ail remains a quiet and friendly small port, where users often know each other and where the team of the Capitainerie maintains very good relations with its boaters. The port is well maintained and the administration is very active in improving the port.
